Hi friends, I hope you are enjoying the 3-day weekend.
I’ve been observing substacks platform features for couple weeks now and the conclusion I drew was that this was the organization system I needed to communicate & organize information beyond 280 words. And that communication is a space that is accessible to anyone and everyone on a separate platform other than Twitter &/or discord.
I’ve never seen myself as a writer so going down the blogging road never crossed my mind until my obsession with the game. The intricacies, simplicities & nuances that comprise of this zero-sum game is what makes it so interesting & a never ending casino.
Throughout my journey, I’ve found a lot of information in the trading world, both good and bad.
What I want to bring to this platform is a variety of information that I have found and continue to find relevant to my trading career is but not limited to
Understanding the building blocks & variables in the market & in executing
Tape
Psychology
Trade thesis breakdowns
Connecting the pieces
Philosophy
Introspection
Trading is an art.
It is an art that has both quantifiable & non-quantifiable variables in a dynamic environment. The perspective you have on the markets is also influenced by your habits and/or views. Simple day-to-day habits & routines traits as discipline affect the mind & execution. Undisciplined daily habits may breed overtrading & emotional damage whereas characteristics of having disciplined daily habits tend to reflect in proper risk management and consistency.
This is where the line gets blurred between trading and gambling as one of the many fallacies in trading is correlation is causation but I digress, all of these points will be addressed separately in their own post that pertains to trading.
Bear with me, I will try my best to concisely communicate my points across.
This will be a combination of both free & sub posts as this does take a good amount of time out of my day. I intend to have the next post to be an anatomy of Friday’s session and why I thought an end of day rally may have been probable.
Trading isn’t easy but nothing good in life comes easy :)
Stay curious.
Peace
Looking forward to the post about Friday!
